The College for Value Based Purchasing of Health Benefits (CVBP)

was created in 2004 to help employee benefit managers meet the growing challenges of providing high quality health benefits and rising benefit costs. CVBP is a joint venture of Greater Philadelphia Business Coalition on Health (GPBCH), HealthCare 21 Business Coalition (HC21), and National Alliance of Healthcare Purchaser Coalitions (NAHPC). Since its formation, the College has trained over 700 health benefits professionals.

CVBP offers a practical, intensive program that focuses on benefits purchasing techniques and skills that emphasize improving the value, quality-cost ratio, and effectiveness of health care services purchased on behalf of employees. The training program combines traditional management techniques with value-based purchasing and consumerism.
